Cassi, a Canadian in her mid-thirties, is struggling with the decision of whether to keep pursuing her life’s passion (musical theatre) or give up and get a “real job”.  She goes to Italy for the summer to try and clear her head and figure out what to do.  As soon as she arrives, she meets Giovanna, a young Canadian also in Italy performing for the summer.  She also meets Fabrizio, the son of the proprietors of the bed and breakfast at which she ends up staying, Karla, a young singer/dancer/director and Alessandro, Fabrizio’s Dad.  The experience of performing in Italy and the relationships she forms with Giovanna, Fabrizio, Karla and Alessandro change Cassi “for good” and make her decision of whether to continue pursuing musical theatre or not an easy one.
